Thurisaz is poking you to get a move on, to do something already. And then there’s Mimir, saying, “Well, not so fast.” You could spend the day listening to the two of them argue, but that’s not a good use of your time, and it sure wouldn’t be fun.

Mengloth advises to turn within. If there’s not much you do out there, then focus on in here. Be kind to yourself, give yourself time and space to feel your emotions. You may be surprised to find out that what you thought you feel is actually not what you feel at all.

There may not be much you can do externally to create a major shift, so follow Mengloth’s example and try some small experiments. Try a different type of tea or coffee from what you usually drink. Walk or drive a different route to the store, work, or wherever you are going. Listen to a song by an artist you’ve heard of, but never heard. You may find something new you enjoy that can bring a bit more pleasure to the world, or you may find that your current preference is your true preference. Either way, you have learned something new about yourself.

Go, you! However, be aware of your own negative emotions and defeating self-talk. Things are complicated enough as they are; don’t sabotage your own work with internalized negativity. Call the demons by their names, and set a boundary—if they’re not going to be helpful, they have to go back to the cellar for the day. You don’t have time to deal with their stuff and to do your work, and today you really need to do your work.

Sinmora tells you to enjoy that Victory Lap, and suggests you make it a Victory Dance. Dance your joy, your excitement, your appreciation of yourself and your work in completing what you have done.

Nauthiz tells you to focus on what you truly need. Not what you think you want, not what others tell you that you need, but the authentic needs of your soul. Less screen time, more book time? Less shopping, more creating? Less isolating, more time spent with a good friend? Listen to your soul, and make the changes that need to be made.
