Fundraiser for James Wanless
Author and teacher James Wanless, our very own Captain Pick-A-Card, creator of the Voyager Tarot and the Sustain Cards deck, needs support. He was violently attacked on August 13, 2022, and is still in serious condition at the hospital. He has severe head trauma, which caused some bleeding on the brain, and two cracked vertebrae in his neck. On Aug 15, James had successful neck surgery and is still on a ventilator. He is battling pneumonia and has started to respond with his eyes. The doctors say he has a long recovery ahead of him. It will be some time before James can work hence the need to raise funds for his living and medical expenses.
His business partner, Julie King, has set up a GoFundMe to help James.
I’m heartbroken—James is such a vibrant, fully alive person, and for him to be in such a state is horrifying, all the more so due to the reason for his condition.
