The theme of “keep at it” continues from yesterday’s Active Influence of Gefjon/Ace of Coins. Fenja and Menja/Two of Coins encourage you to keep going, no matter how grueling or endless it seems (or actually is). While Kenaz reversed indicates that you don’t have much light to see the path ahead, you can see as far as you need to. Perhaps that’s no further than your to-do list for today, but it’s good enough. And perhaps you can’t see the road ahead because you are building it, right now.

Nott brings gentle and deep reassurance. The starlight speaks to your soul, reminding you that you have made it through another day, and can rest tonight. Tomorrow will be a new day, Nott says, and a new opportunity to make things better, and to be kinder to yourself.

Be diligent about your duties, and remember your duty of self-care is as important as any work you are paid to do.

Conditions are good today for making changes. They may not be the changes you planned to make, but that’s just Farbauti shaking things up. Dagaz brings in the energy to shape the changes to your advantage, and Gefjon gives you the courage and focus to do the work needed.

With all this fire energy (Dagaz and the Tower), Gefjon’s focus on physical action and grounding will help you channel those wild energies into productive channels.

Make a plan, and work at it. You can do a great deal today if you get out of your head and just take action.

Draw June 8, 2016: Active Influence—Glut, Einmyria & Eisa/Three of Wands; Chalc, reversed; Hidden Influence—Gunnlod/Two of Cups.

Today is a strange mix of energies. The joy and freedom of the Three of Wands is tempered by the emptiness of the reversed Chalc rune and the mix of promises made and broken in the Two of Cups.

Gunnlod moves from yesterday’s Active Influence to today’s Hidden Influence. Again, be aware of the consequences of making promises, and enter into agreements with full awareness of what you are offering and what is being offered to you. The empty chalice of the reversed Chalc cautions against overpromising based on expected resources; pledge only what you know you have.

Glut and her daughters as the Active Influence lighten the mood considerably. Whatever is going on, or whatever isn’t happening the way you want it to, there are still good things to acknowledge, appreciate, and celebrate. In the midst of the demands of the day, take time to enjoy what is good and pleasing.
