The Giants’ Tarot, Raven Kaldera
Draw for Januayr 8, 2017
Active Influence: Narvi & Vali/Ten of Swords
Rune: Inguz/Fertility
Hidden Influence: Mundilfari/Six of Wands
However terrible something is, you must let go of it. The past is done, and you cannot change what happened.
As always, the one thing you can control is your own behavior in the situation. The pain may be extreme, and the loss devastating, but you have the seeds of new possibilities to plant and to tend. Begin with healing yourself through Freyr’s energies in Inguz.
Inguz also supplies the creative energies you need to start anew, and Mundilfari assures you that you have the time you need to do what you need to do—if you start now.
The Giants’ Tarot, Raven Kaldera

Focused efforts continue to pay off. You may find yourself in a position to share knowledge or teach skills, paying forward what was given to you. They cycle of learning and teaching never ends; there is always something to learn, and something to share.
Not all of your students may be happy about learning in general, or learning from you in specific. They may find reason—valid or not—to debate every point and argue every step. Your job is to keep things focused so that those who do want to learn, can do so. The angry one will not stop trying to pick a fight, so do your best to defuse the situation from the start.
The House-Builders
~ Kamala Das
The cicadas in brambled foliage
Naturally concave. So also these
Men who crawl up the cogged scaffoldings
Building houses for the alien rich.
On some days the hot sky flings us scraps
Of Telugu songs and we intently
Listen, but we wait in vain for the harsh
Message of the lowly. In merry tunes
Their voices break, but just a little, as
Though the hero’s happiness is too big
A burden on their breath, too big a lie
For their throats to swallow, but past sunset
Their jest sounds ribald, their lust seems robust.
Puny. these toy-men of dust, fathers of light
Dust-children, but their hands like the withered boughs
Of some mythic hoodoo tree cast only
Cool shadows and with native grace bestow
Even on unbelievers vast shelters . . . .

Set strong boundaries, and enforce them vigilantly. Yesterday’s successes have attracted negative attention. If yesterday’s gains were ill-gotten, that is going to come to light quickly, and retribution will be swift. If your success was rightfully gained, you need to beware of sabotage and trickery. Keep your guard up, and defend what is rightfully yours.
