Of course Loki is going to show up on April Fool’s Day—how could He resist? We see Him here in Prime Trickster mode. Of course, it’s only to help His good friend Thor regain what was stolen from Him. Of course, the not-so-quiet snickering in the background is just your imagination. (It’s not, actually. He is absolutely giggling here.)

There’s a lot of energy moving today, and you may feel inspired to do creative work. That’s good, do all the creative work your heart desires! Today is not a good day for practical matters or business contracts. It’s Saturday, and no one expects you to be in the office, so put off answering that email until Monday. It will be better for everyone if you wait.

Dreamwood
~ Adrienne Rich

In the old, scratched, cheap wood of the typing stand

there is a landscape, veined, which only a child can see

or the child’s older self, a poet,

a woman dreaming when she should be typing

the last report of the day. If this were a map,

she thinks, a map laid down to memorize

because she might be walking it, it shows

ridge upon ridge fading into hazed desert

here and there a sign of aquifers

and one possible watering-hole. If this were a map

it would be the map of the last age of her life,

not a map of choices but a map of variations

on the one great choice. It would be the map by which

she could see the end of touristic choices,

of distances blued and purpled by romance,

by which she would recognize that poetry

isn’t revolution but a way of knowing

why it must come. If this cheap, mass-produced

wooden stand from the Brooklyn Union Gas Co.,

mass-produced yet durable, being here now,

is what it is yet a dream-map

so obdurate, so plain,

she thinks, the material and the dream can join

and that is the poem and that is the late report.

Moon marked and touched by sun

my magic is unwritten

but when the sea turns back

it will leave my shape behind.

I seek no favor

untouched by blood

unrelenting as the curse of love

permanent as my errors

or my pride

I do not mix

love with pity

nor hate with scorn

and if you would know me

look into the entrails of Uranus

where the restless oceans pound.

I do not dwell

within my birth nor my divinities

who am ageless and half-grown

witches in Dahomey

The only thing holding you back is your insistence on clinging to what is no longer yours, whether asset or liability. You have a lot to do, and you have the strength and resources to do it.
